PETALING JAYA: Cinema operators are calling on the government to allow them to resume operations as non-essential sectors such as gyms, casinos and recreational fishing centres have been allowed to reopen during the current movement control order period. Read full story

Covid-19 & Illegal Immigrants: Documentary defaming Malaysia

On July 3, 2020, Al Jazeera through segment 101 East published a 26-minute short documentary (by Drew Ambrose and Jenni Henderseon) on how Malaysia treated illegal immigrants while Covid-19 was in critical condition (within the MCO). Locked Up in Malaysia's Lockdown Hidden away in the COVID-19 pandemic are Malaysia's migrant workers. For years, they have done the country's most dangerous, dirtiest jobs. Now, undocumented foreign workers are scared for their future.
