Immigration busts syndicate forging travel documents

PUTRAJAYA (Bernama): The Immigration Department has smashed a syndicate specialising in forging travel documents with the arrest of three Pakistani men in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur and Seri Kembangan, Selangor in a special operation on Aug 16 and 17 after three months of painstaking intelligence work. On July 3, 2020, Al Jazeera through segment 101 East published a 26-minute short documentary (by Drew Ambrose and Jenni Henderseon) on how Malaysia treated illegal immigrants while Covid-19 was in critical condition (within the MCO). Locked Up in Malaysia's Lockdown Hidden away in the COVID-19 pandemic are Malaysia's migrant workers. For years, they have done the country's most dangerous, dirtiest jobs. Now, undocumented foreign workers are scared for their future.
