Deputy minister calls for immediate investigation into Cheras temple misunderstanding

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Deputy Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Jalaluddin Alias has requested the authorities to expedite investigations into a rioting incident outside a Chinese temple on Tuesday (Sept 28) so that follow up action can be taken to resolve the problem harmoniously. On July 3, 2020, Al Jazeera through segment 101 East published a 26-minute short documentary (by Drew Ambrose and Jenni Henderseon) on how Malaysia treated illegal immigrants while Covid-19 was in critical condition (within the MCO). Locked Up in Malaysia's Lockdown Hidden away in the COVID-19 pandemic are Malaysia's migrant workers. For years, they have done the country's most dangerous, dirtiest jobs. Now, undocumented foreign workers are scared for their future.
